So you end up with millions of people that aren't particularly smart in any area wanting to teach children American history, or elementary level math. Why pay them $100,000 a year when the next 22 year old kid fresh out of college would love to do it for $30,000-$40,000?Teachers are the only ones besides maybe cops and grocery baggers that feel they are entitled to make some crazy amount of money for doing a job that pretty much anyone off the street can and would do. You don't have to be a genius to pick up a teachers book, memorize your lesson, and then recite that lesson to the class. Hell, most of my teachers would just read right out of the book, or at least reference it in class.
It's a corporatocracy. What do you expect?The corporations get represented. YOU do not.
