Im thinking he was TRYING to commit insurance fraud, because he obviously saw that damn car rolling. I don't think he knows that he will get any money out of this, besides the car repair....if the insurance actually decides to cover something like this with the evidence provided. This video is one of the few where I think its appropriate to say...fail.

Even if automakers sold every one of the EVs they produced last decade, they probably wouldn't have made a profit. These were all first-run models with significant fixed costs that would only be paid down after thousands went out the door. This is true of all cars (and all products), not just EVs.Perhaps if they actually produced quantities commensurate with demand instead of just hand-building a few cars to meet the quotas set by California regulators car companies would've eventually made a profit on EVs. The point is that we can never know what would've happened, because automakers didn't TRY to make a profit. They decided in advance that EVs were a threat to their existing business model, and that it made more sense to try to have the law changed than to try to make a business out of selling EVs.What do you mean that automakers are having trouble creating a market for electric cars now? There have been exactly 0 EVs for sale by anyone but Tesla since the last few Rav4-EV were sold. If car companies actually offered EVs for sale plenty of people would buy them. Tesla's having no trouble selling theirs. Also, it's a fallacy to assume that the technology has improved just because time has passed. Since NiMH batteries have been effectively squashed by Chevron, we have to effectively start from scratch with new lithium batteries this time around. Lithium hold the promise of longer range, but it has significant cost and reliability problems that have yet to be solved.
At least Reagan was able to fake being likable.

Dugg for hang in there kitten..
You're just as much of an ***** iBleedOrange, Your main argument is "this has to be done." Why? Jsfive, sure comes off harsh but he does have a point. Service is voluntary and there is a deep tradition of nobility and honor in killing other "wrong" people. You are trained to think a death of a soldier is a tragedy; and the death part certainly is - people that surrounded this man will feel their lives changing. What about the soldier part? These guys are trained killers, their job is to go out and KILL other human beings, so their families can suffer. Do you not realize how animalistic this is from any perspective? Do we really need to be fighting these wars or is there a better way?!

amen. somehow it seems electric cars have been 2 years away for the past 5 years or so now.?
Um, a constant rate of random occurrences does not diminish the randomness of those occurrences.Look at virus evolution. A virus species evolves at a fairly constant (and frighteningly fast) rate. And that in no way prevents a virus from spawning some extremely random changes within a few generations.

Hate to do the shameless plug but it seems relevant here. If anybody likes football & RPGs they should check out the game I work for, www.goallineblitz.com. You create a player just like an RPG with class, agility, strength, etc. Then you can join a team or create a team of other users players and level up based on game experience. Kind of like fantasy football but you get to create your own players rather than choosing real life players. Also it is free to play(with some pay options).
