If we take a step back and look at the elections where the Democrats lost congress under Bill Clinton and the presidency afterwards, where the Republicans lost everything in 2008, and during this election, what becomes clear among all the polispeak is that people were voting against corruption. Corruption is what lost each party their dominance in each of these elections. You would think the Democrats would have learned this lesson by now especially since their main campaign slogan in 2008 was that the Republicans were corrupt which died down when it started to become clear that they really weren't any better. If the Democrats want to keep voters, they need to take a close look at themselves and deal with the Jeffersons, Waters, Murthas, Reid, etc. etc. etc. and pass laws that really remove corruption from the system instead of just burying it under bureaucracy. Dealing with corruption will win the game, all the other stuff only make the win look prettier.
