I want a phone to be small - like the start-trek lapel communicator things - or, better, something that gets merged into a bluetooth headset.That way I could more easily justify carrying a netbook.The PDA-form-factor phones are just too big to be a great phone, and just too small to be a good internet device.
I don't download things I already own, I download things I don't own so I can watch and listen to them without paying for them. I haven't paid for music in years, and I don't even bother belonging to Netflix because, well, I download everything.I know it's not particularly right, I'm not going to put it on my resume, but two-dollar moral quandaries and threats of prosecution are a little remote, especially when I get 1,000KB/s download speed. And let's face it, there are many more of me than there are of you. This would violate the 14th Amendment's Due Process clause, IF Internet Service Providers weren't private companies. Since they are, they can deny service to any customer for any reason. Kind of raises interesting questions as to whether or not broadband can be defined as a public utility - and if it isn't, that it maybe should be.I'm a capitalism-loving government-hating American, but the sheer number of methods private ISPs are finding to screw customers is kind of testing my tolerance for *****. When will we get past this phase in our country, and just be able to buy broadband cheaply with no strings attached? When will ISPs realize they can make a fortune just by making broadband faster, cheaper, and more accessible? When???Stop ***** with my Internet, goddammet. Seriously, I'm sick of this *****..

If you're in California there is a petition right now to get cannabis legalization onto the ballot. Once they get a certain number of signatures, we get to vote on it in a general election.This is for blanket legalization for persons over the age of 21 (along with appropriate government regulation/taxation), not for medicinal use. Wife and I both signed it - look for the signature gatherers outside grocery stores/Wal Mart/Target/whatever.
