Well, your problem is that your test isn't really all that accurate. You're playing a 720p video on a 1080p screen, which means it's stretched and will not look "clean".A real test is if you have two screens side by side, one with 720p native resolution and the other with 1080p native resolution, each playing a video of a resolution that matches the screen.Then, you can get into arguing about how much detail you can make out from a proper viewing distance (for a 22" screen, the appropriate viewing distance for video playback is around 2-3 feet).The key is proper viewing distance, not how much detail you can make out by walking up to it.A 100" screen at a distance of 11 feet or more, will not have noticeably more detail at 1080p than it will at 720p. A 60" screen requires a viewing distance of at least 6 feet, at which point you cannot really tell the difference between 720p and 1080p just by looking at it.If you walk closer or if you look very closely, you'll probably notice additional sharpness, but if you're just watching a movie, then contrast ratio, brightness and color representation are all more important than raw resolution, once you've reached 720p.

Here's where you're off base, Logicexe. THOSE cases are based on existing, well-established interests that pay for studies to support their business interests (e.g., Big Tobacco funding studies that show there is no evidence that putting smoke and toxins in your lungs causes any problems) what you're asking me to believe is that Al Gore sank millions of dollars of investment into something that he knows isn't true because he was POSITIVE that he could fool everyone long enough for that investment to pay off. That just doesn't make any kind of sense and it has absolutely no mirror to the examples you're talking about.
Where were you guys when Haliburton and Cheney did this, oh, 6 or so years ago? Last time I checked Gore is a private citizen now and Cheney was the VP of the Free World... As a private citizen you can invest money in anything you like. If he were a current member of congress or still the VP or even the POTUS then we would have some serious issues.Or we wouldn't... because Cheney got away without a scratch...

Actually, if you read the list correctly, it's 45.71% on Military, 8.7% on Health, and 22.5% on Education. That adds up to 76.91%. The red bars are for Military, the green bars are for Health and the purple bars are for Education. I know it's confusing, what with all the numbers and colors at the same time....!

I read the book by Robert J Sawyer that this is 'based on' years ago. Great book, Robert J. Sawyer is a great writer, and I look forward to more of his books getting adapted. They should have done this book as either a movie or mini-series; and actually done the book and not just used the premise of the flashforward as a trigger for yet another 'law enforcement' series.
