1. Build a Model of Your House from a Floorplan2. Design Your own Papercraft Schematics3. Design custom furniture (same page as 2 for those that missed it)4. Make a Left 4 Dead Level!5. Use a Raytracing Renderer to Make Photorealistic Images6. Make Custom Logos and Icons7. Turn Your Building Model into a Blueprint
It's music from Left 4 Dead. To be specific, the music that plays when you startle a witch.

I think once people figure out how to not screw up this particular planet so badly they could start thinking about going somewhere else,Since neither the moon nor mars etc are habitable, excursions would be inextricably linked to the earth like a fetus to a mommy. There's literally no point to local space travel at this point in time..
I think one problem is there is a schism between hardcore comic fans and casual ones.Myself for example, I never buy monthly issues, there is just too many backstory to keep up with and like you said, I hate paying 4 dollars for a 20 page issuse i will throw away. Now what I WILL pay for is I will pay a good 30-40 dollars for a nice hardbound graphic novel, preferably a store that fits inside itself and doesn't require me to know 40 years of character history much like Batman: The Killing Joke for example.!

It seems to work for Dr. House.?
At some point VERY soon, perhaps 2 generations from now, every family having 2-5 babies results in all of us living in a toxic concrete ***** with smog for air (see India and China). I'm not even going to start on the fact that there isn't enough land area on earth to grow food for 20 billion people. Right now we already got 7 billion. When your grandfather finished fighting WWII there were only 2.5 billion. That's 3X in 70 years. That ***** is only 40-50 years away. Within our lifetime.Just because it's not in your backyard doesn't mean you can't look where it's already happening and realize it's a bad idea. |

How is "Plead guilty so you save us some money and we will go easy on you, fight it and we will throw the book at you" not extortion. How many innocent people have gone to jail because they were afraid of a longer sentence.Actually when i was 18-ish someone i knew chose to go to jail for a year for linking to a website that showed how to make molotov cocktails because the prosecutor said if they didn't plead guilty they would prosecute him as a terrorist and he would be looking at a life sentence. This of course was post 9/11.

Seriously. There are 2, and only 2 arguments against the public option, and they are diametrically opposed.1) It'll be too good and wipe out all the private insurers, becoming single-payer.2) It will be less efficient than private insurance and will simply be a waste of money.#2 is solved because, since it's optional, if nobody joins it then it costs no money. Besides- it's paid for by premiums, not taxes. Therefore, it's worth enacting even if there's the CHANCE it could slow the 3*inflation growth of health costs.#1 shouldn't even be a concern, since the job of health care reform is to get people health care, not look out for health insurance companies. |
