I’m still against it. Government should not be in the business of providing healthcare. If healthcare reform meant making it easier to encourage competition among insurance companies and more tax breaks for health costs, I’d be all for it.Adding more government to an already bloated and inefficient system will not drive down costs or improve care. In fact, the solution is less coverage, not more. Because of the rise of complete (verses catastrophic) insurance coverage for healthcare, the market has become horribly distorted. It’s like having auto insurance that would cover putting gas in your car. How often would you shop around for gas or oil changes if your insurer paid 90% of the cost. High deductable plans would encourage people to shop around for routine care and help drive down costs by adding competition to the market.

The first part of your post is taking into account the ISPs doing this of their own accord. If the ISPs are required to do it by law or by regulation, then that raises all kinds of issues--right to due process under the law, and possible cruel and unusual punishment and free speech concerns.?
Very good of him. It's also superb public relations. Money can't buy that sort of coverage... oh, hang on. D'Oh. |

Most bars around here will serve stronger beers in smaller portions... if it is 9%+ then you may get a 10-12oz glass rather than a pint glass. A serving is still more or less a serving regardless of what you order.

Bah. I was hoping to build a new Win7 PC with an I7, SSD, and USB3.0 in 2010. I guess 2 out 3 is not bad. It just sucks I'll have to get a PCI card for USB 3.0. Hopefully the motherboard manufactures get it dine sooner than later. If AMD gets it together before hand, I might jump ship.
