Lasers aren't a perfectly tight beam so at longer distances they diverge. It's not hard to think a beam at 2000ft would be large enough to fill the entire field of view for a pilot as well it bounces readily. So a tiny dot at 50ft becoems a massive beam at 2000ft which can reflect off objects at fairly high intensities..

I didn't see anything amazing but some of the pictures really show how to make a rat make funny facial expressions and rub their eyes by spraying them with caustic substances.I must say though, the partly purple rat was pretty interesting but not amazing since some idiot spray painted it and even got some in it's eyes.The amazing thing is that someone would post this.
