| Even if we have the second highest tax rate in the world, you do know that the gap between the rich and the poor is increasing right? A system where a few holds all the money never works. tax is necessary for government to operate, i am sick of people that think government can exist with no taxes. Corporations are not the force for the good, or evil. they are merely a way for people to consolidate wealth, eventually at the cost of everything. The problem is that companies on stock markets have to not just make the same amount of money as last year, they have to make MORE money or their stocks will go down. As they have to squeeze more and more money to keep profits high, they eventually have to cut wages and naturally move jobs off seas. At some point, either the rich will have to decide that ruining the American economy for stock value isn't worth the long term problem it produces (fat chance). or government will have to come in and force them to behave in an ethical manner. | |
